- Go to the Start Menu
- Go to Settings
- Go To Printers
- If the Generic Text printer exists then go to Configuring
the Generic Printer
- Double-Click on Add Printer
- Follow the Wizard instructions to install the printer. The
Printer manufacturer is Generic and the Printer is Generic
/ Text only
- Go to the Start Menu
- Go to Settings
- Go To Printers
- Right-Click on Generic Text
- Choose Properties from the list that pops up.
- Click on the Device Options tab near the top of the window.
- Near the bottom left corner of the screen is a small list
box entitled character mapping. Scroll the box so the
number 128 is highlighted. Click on the number if necessary
to highlight the number.
- Click on the entry field just to the right of the small list
box, called On Printer.
- Use the backspace key to remove any characters displayed
there.
- Then holding down the Ctrl key press the letter L.
You will see ^L appear in the entry field.
- Click on the OK button to save the changes.
